Birgit Neja Jensen

Born 1952

Birgit Neja started at The Art School when it opened in 1994.

​

Long before this she had begun to draw and paint her experiences.

Birgit Neja is inspired by her own life with her boyfriend, friends, through being together in everyday life, memories from the old days and other artists' works.

Birgit Neja has worked with many materials over time: different types of paint and dry colours, etching and linoleum, papier mache, ceramics, flamingo, mosaic, wax and bronze. In recent years, Birgit Neja's preferred medium has been acrylic on canvas and watercolor.

Birgit Neja retired in 2025.
